Research

The Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures (IFLL) at Chang'an University was established in June 2012, belonging to a university-level academic research institution, and affiliated to the School of Foreign Studies. As a mass academic research institution, the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures (IFLL) brings together a number of experts and scholars with fruitful research results in the School of Foreign Studies, and will continue to absorb new force interested in academic research. At present, the institute has nine researchers, including one professor, three associate professors, three lecturers and two others. Among them, there are 3 masters instructors. The institute is committed to research on foreign languages and literature, with the research directions covering modern linguistics, applied linguistics, foreign literature, etc.

The Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures (IFLL) creates a high-starting-point research platform for teachers, fully exploring the academic research potential, and promoting unity and cooperation, therefore to promote the improvement of foreign language teaching in our university, and enhance the scientific research level of foreign languages in our university to a higher level.

The main tasks of the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures (IFLL) at Chang'an University include:

1) To carry out in-depth academic research in the field of foreign languages, and undertake research tasks;

2) To provide academic consultation on application of various scientific research projects at all levels;

3) To carry out academic exchange;

4) To provide other related services such as translation of foreign languages, etc.

At present, the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literatures (IFLL) has undertaken one national social science fund project, one project from Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, and several university-level projects.
